You are the key to MCA-TV

Moon Community Access Television (MCA-TV) is owned and operated by the Township of Moon. The station is funded mainly by the franchise fee paid to Moon Township by the local cable carriers, Comcast and Verizon. The channel can be viewed on channel 14 of the Comcast cable system, and on Verizon FIOS TV, Channel 35. To view the franchise agreement choose a provider; Comcast(PDF) or Verizon(PDF).

MCA-TV is a public access station designed to let residents communicate via television. Moon Township residents have the right to produce programs to air on MCA-TV. Some select programs can be viewed on-line by clicking here.

As a public access station MCA-TV relies heavily on volunteers. If you have an interest in television, in front or behind the camera, check the Volunteers link. Remember YOU ARE THE KEY TO MCA-TV.

Mission Statement

Moon Community Access Television (“MCA-TV”) is a center for the production and distribution of public access, educational, and governmental programming over the cable system serving Moon Township. The goal of MCATV is to use electronic media to foster and maintain a sense of community in the Township. MCA-TV strives to contribute to an informed citizenry by providing public access programming, responding to community needs, addressing local government issues, and helping bring education into the home.

MCA-TV takes pride in providing diverse perspectives and a local voice for Moon Township. MCATV aspires to operate a video production and distribution studio in the most efficient and equitable manner. MCATV is dedicated to providing equal access to all Moon Township residents, regardless of race, age, gender, political persuasion, religion or economic status. Its employees and volunteers work hard to provide high quality, non-commercial television programming.
